On August 8, 2016, the Singapore International School Complex Project in Ha Long – Quang Ninh officially completed inspection, acceptance, and handover procedures to the Investor.

Located in Ha Long Marina Urban Area, Quang Ninh Province, the project was undertaken by Viteccons as the main construction contractor. Covering a total land area of 7.1 hectares, the project consists of four main buildings including theoretical classrooms, specialized classrooms, practice rooms, laboratories, administration offices, canteen, and other educational facilities. In addition, the complex was equipped with M&E systems, fire protection systems, underground water tanks, and auxiliary facilities such as playgrounds, sports grounds, and landscaping areas. Once operational, the complex is expected to accommodate approximately 2,000 students.

The project commenced at the end of May 2016 and was scheduled for completion in the first week of August 2016. This period coincided with the prolonged rainy and stormy season in Northern Vietnam, which significantly affected the construction progress. Facing such difficulties, the SIS Ha Long Site Management Board devoted all of its effort, dedication, and experience to implementing solutions such as increasing overtime shifts, mobilizing additional manpower, and innovating construction methods in order to meet the committed schedule and ensure the project was ready for the new academic year.

The harsh rainy and stormy weather only strengthened the determination of the SIS Ha Long Site Management Board.

To date, SIS Ha Long can be considered the “hottest” and fastest-track project ever executed by Viteccons. In less than three months of construction, the SIS Site Management Board overcame every obstacle to complete an enormous workload while still strictly complying with the stringent safety and quality standards required by the Singaporean Investor.

Sharing about the project, Mr. Pham Ngoc Thach – Project Director stated: “All current pressures and challenges have not discouraged the Viteccons engineering team; instead, they have made us even more determined. The entire SIS Ha Long Site Management Board will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity to complete the project on schedule, delivering a modern, green, clean, and beautiful learning environment that will contribute to developing high-quality human resources for Quang Ninh Province in the future.”
