DAY AND NIGHT ON THE FLOOR SLAB
July 01, 2026

On the expansive steel floor slab of the construction site, Nguyen Vo Truong Nam – a Construction Engineer at the Stella 360 Project (Can Tho), begins a working day that will last longer than usual. Today is preparation day for the roof concrete pouring and topping-out, one of the project's important milestones.

During the day, Nam and the technical team review the construction method on the roof slab drawings, carry out measurements, inspect the reinforcement, and cross-check every detail against actual site conditions. With concrete works, every potential error must be identified and addressed before construction begins, because once the concrete has been poured, there is no longer an opportunity to make corrections.

As night falls, the construction site comes alive under the floodlights. The arrival of the first concrete mixer trucks marks the official start of the overnight shift. Each truck is carefully checked for its delivery ticket, concrete slump, and mix design before the concrete is placed.

To ensure a monolithic structure and prevent construction joints, the entire roof slab is poured continuously throughout the night. During the process, Nam and his teammates move constantly across the floor slab, monitoring the flow of concrete and coordinating closely with the different work crews so that every stage is carried out accurately and seamlessly.

“Tonight is an important night for the entire team, so everyone is giving it their all to get the job done properly. It’s tiring, but it’s absolutely worth it.”
– Nguyen Vo Truong Nam

When the final batch of concrete is completed, the first rays of light begin to appear on the horizon. An important milestone of the project comes to a close with smiles after a full day and night spent on the floor slab.

This is the story of Nguyen Vo Truong Nam, and at the same time, it is the story of the entire Stella 360 Project team (Can Tho). At Viteccons, the quality of every project is built not only on technical expertise and rigorous processes, but also on the dedication of the people who quietly contribute behind every construction milestone.
